About Me
I have been supporting breastfeeding families as a Lactation Consultant in the Kootenays (and beyond) since November 2011. I have been supporting families with breastfeeding, birth and babywearing since 2008. I love what I do!
I am the proud mom of two amazing children. I had two very different experiences breastfeeding. I had a terrible time with my first baby and dreaded the moment when he was hungry becuase I was in so much pain and he wasn't gaining weight. Breastfeeding my second baby was pain-free and she gained weight beautifully. It was then I realized that I wanted to help other moms not go through all the hardship that I went through that stemmed from lack of education and lack of support. I want you to love breastfeeding. I want you to feel supported and cared for on this crazy journey we call motherhood!
I am all about support, encouragement and
education. I love supporting moms. I am here to support and empower you along your
pregnancy, birth and postpartum adventures!
Services
Home Visits
Moms usually feel most comfortable in their own space. I'm happy to do a home visit if you live in Cranbrook or Kimberley and we can arrange a meeting place if you live out of town. Virtual visits are available for those who live far away.
Lactation Consultant
As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant I can help you with issues like milk supply, weight gain, plugged ducts, mastitis, thrush, painful latching, tethered oral tissues and so much more!
Birth & Postpartum Support
I love birth! I am here to empower you through your pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. Resources, prenatal education, birth support, breastfeeding, postpartum support (in-home)... whatever you need, I'm here for you.
